What is aging in place?

Aging in place is living independently in your own home, confidently and comfortably, for as long as possible.

With an Aging in Place Specialist on board, Sun Catcher Builders is able to insure that your home is safe, secure, and easy to navigate, enabling you or a family member to remain at home rather than living in a retirement community or anywhere other than the familiar home environment. We can provide a home assessment, pointing out potential safety or navigational issues, and can provide the solutions for those issues, such as:

  • wheelchair accessibility - ramps, wider hallways and doorways, etc.
  • redesigning and remodeling bathrooms and kitchens with safety rails, lower counters, more shallow shelving, etc.
  • increased lighting on stairs, in entryways, etc.
